To promote local culture and strengthen team cohesion, TFC Technology (Thailand) Co., Ltd. hosted a cultural event themed on Thailand’s traditional Songkran Festival at the company cafeteria in Thailand from 12:00 to 13:00 noon on April 10. Thai and Chinese employees gathered joyfully at the venue, sharing laughter and immersing themselves in the festive atmosphere together.
Songkran Festival is Thailand’s important traditional New Year holiday, symbolizing the welcoming of the new year and prayers for good fortune. Through water splashing and the water blessing ritual (Rot Nam Dam Hua), people wash away misfortunes and welcome a bright new year. The festival is officially held by the Thai government from April 13 to 15 every year and remains widely celebrated to this day.
This event was co-hosted by bilingual Thai-Chinese emcees: administrative supervisor Por and Thai-Chinese translator Nim. With the support and participation of the company’s management, a water blessing ceremony was arranged, where Thai employees performed the water blessing ritual for Chinese management staff to express their best wishes and respect, reflecting the company’s deep respect for and appreciation of Thai traditional culture.
Interactive games were also organized, featuring quizzes on corporate culture and safety knowledge. Combining the Thai government’s safety campaigns such as “Don’t drink and drive”, the event promoted the “Safe TFC” safety culture by integrating safety concepts into fun activities.
Employees participated enthusiastically, deepening their understanding of corporate values and safety awareness through learning in an entertaining way. Participants also received commemorative gifts (custom water bottles) prepared by the company. The lively event was well-received, further strengthening employees’ awareness of safe travel to ensure everyone’s safety during the holiday.
At the end of the event, the Thai management team thoughtfully prepared refreshing ice cream for all staff, extending summer care and festive wishes, which further enhanced employees’ sense of belonging and team cohesion.
The Songkran cultural event was highly successful. It allowed employees to relax from their busy work while providing a cross-cultural exchange platform for Thai and Chinese staff. Chinese employees gained an in-depth experience of the charm of Songkran Festival, deepened their understanding of Thai traditional culture, and effectively promoted team integration.
Going forward, TFC Technology (Thailand) will continue to organize various cultural activities to foster an open, inclusive, and positive working environment, working hand in hand with all employees to build a bright future together.
